San Clemente Pier

The Pier is San Clemente's iconic landmark. It was built back in 1928 and has since been rebuilt twice - once in 1939 after a severe hurricane and once more in 1983 during a strong El Niño event. Over the course of its lifetime, the Pier has seen a lot of activity. In fact, in the early 1900s, the Pier was used as an entry point for smuggling liquor during the prohibition era. At one point, it was also home to a major commercial fishing business called Owl Boat Co. Today, the Pier is home to The Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar as well as the Pier Snack Shack. Take it from a local: your visit to San Clemente is not complete until you've taken a stroll on the San Clemente Pier! For more information, visit the link here.
